Let their names be blotted out of the book of the living.

A response to R, M, S

R: What about those who are good in their lives? Is heaven not for them too?

M: What is wrong with the world? I wonder if there is anybody who is really good out there. Does having the title "Christian" automatically make us better than the rest of the world?

S: What about those who never hear?

Both good and bad are sinners. All need divine mercy, without which we are condemned already. "Mercy is a gift, Anyone who is a sinner receives punishment he deserves. Anyone who is saved receives mercy he does not deserve and which is not owed him. God owes no one mercy. He can offer it to whomever He wishes. That's why it's called grace."

"But we are all as the unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as a menstruation cloth. And we all fade as a leaf, and like the wind our iniquities take us away" (Isa. 64:6).

"For there is no respect of persons with God. For as many as sinned without Law will also perish without Law. And as many as sinned within Law will be judged through Law. For not the hearers of the Law are just with God, but the doers of the Law shall be justified. For when nations not having Law do by nature the things of the Law, they not having Law are a law to themselves, who show the work of the Law written in their hearts, their conscience witnessing with them, and the thoughts between one another accusing or even excusing, in a day when God judges the hidden things of men, according to my gospel, through Jesus Christ" (Rom. 2:11-16).

Today I will tell what has been done to my soul

I am having correspondences with S, J, M and R. I am so afraid. I am afraid what I write is not His life and death that I personally experience, I am afraid what I write is all about what I cognitively know. I am afraid what I write does not bring us to further communion with the Father and the Son.

Like a true Martha

Too eager, over-anxious to please everyone, and end up tired and pleasing no one.

Divine Education

I went through fire and water. The hardest finding was the discovery of different evils in me. But there were more lessons learnt. I was educated various graces, more promises yearned and endeared, more divine attributes sought after and illustrated, more knowledge gained as wisdom, more capacities created for joy.

Chosen

What is the chief ingredient of true felicity. What is the foundation of all happiness. What is the main reason for joy. What is the highest satisfaction of understanding. What is the answer for utmost propensity of the will. What is the end of every heart's desires. What is the sweetest exercise of all man's capacities. What is the deepest enjoyment employed.

The assurance of almighty love. The freedom of all evils nature can fear. The acquisition of noblest good. The fulfillment of appointed divine purpose in life here and now. The everlasting union with God Himself.

Blessed is the chosen.

Papa

By his life and sacrifice I know what love is. He is an evidence of God's love to me. Let me be an evidence of the love of God to him.

Happy 54th Birthday, Pa.

Much Too Suspicious

Why is this diligent search of iniquities? Such a pursuit of discovering faults, on finding--and exaggerating--motives tending to be faulty, and rekindling of guilt. The heart is deep, and there is yearning to explore the depth of the evilness of heart. If I stand today let me stand on mercy.

A Helper

I am a God-called helper. That is my calling: a helper. I am called to contribute to the completion, the honour, and the care of another. The ways are open to a life-time journey of discovery, but perhaps in the life-long process it is good to remember the aim: I am a helper, helping one I love to be what God intends, not what I intend. When I love someone, I love him for what he is, not for what I want to make of him. I must not dedicate myself to reforming and making him a man in my image, rather, to give myself to God and allow Him to use me in developing His very image in the man I love.

Gift and Calling

My gifts do not determine what I am called to do, rather, what I am called to do determines how I am to use my gifts. God gives me gifts to fulfill the responsibilities of my callings, and not to alter His designs of what I am called to do--presently.

Love's Greeting

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqO7yuh8Wsg&feature=related

(In the Summer of 1888, Edward Elgar and Alice Roberts were heading towards marriage. Edward decided on a holiday with his long-standing friend, Dr Charles Buck of Settle, Yorkshire. As he left Worcester, Alice presented Edward with a poem she had written and entitled Love's Grace. While on holiday in Settle, Edward reciprocated by writing a short piece of music for her, which he called Liebesgruss (Love's Greeting). The work carried the dedication "To Carice", a contraction of his future wife's forenames Caroline Alice with which they subsequently christened their daughter. On his return from Settle, Elgar presented the work to his wife and proposed to her. They married at the Brompton Oratory in South Kensington, London in May the following year.)

Sin is Charming

Sin is too charming. The way it charms is very attractive, argumentatively, earnestly and affectionately. Its persuasion is in the manner of offering a thing too beautiful and promising. The action follows, sometimes slow, at times rapid. Its realisation often comes too late, its effect is always painful. It always withers everything else that follows. In all cases, deadly. O sin, what hast thou done!

As a Saint

Save my faith in me, I am a child of God. My salvation concerns my Father's glory, my failure dishonours His name.
