Sin is too charming. The way it charms is very attractive, argumentatively, earnestly and affectionately. Its persuasion is in the manner of offering a thing too beautiful and promising. The action follows, sometimes slow, at times rapid. Its realisation often comes too late, its effect is always painful. It always withers everything else that follows. In all cases, deadly.
