Help

Please help me help him in Your strength, LORD.

And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2Cor.12:8-10)

Story of Shadows

Others write and tell stories and we read and listen to them. Upon the telling, the sorrow and the joy the kind of stories bring are only infectious if the story-teller is close to our heart. Please listen to my prayer for LR. Please listen to hers too.

Without me

Without me, Your name is majestic. Without me, Your glory is great and far above the heavens. Without me, You have set Your work in place. Who am I, Lord, that You are mindful of me? Who am I, Lord, that You care for me? Could I truly say, may Your Kingdom come—even when I have not a part in building It? Could I not care about me at all, as long as Your Kingdom is set in this world, as It is in heaven? Can I truly say it, without false humility; that may You alone be glorified—that is, without me? To be not wanted and used by God has to be the worst that could happen to any of us, but could I not care a bit about it; as long as Your Kingdom come, as long as You are glorified?

Put Death to Death

Each day, banish from me sin and flesh that still live, put them to death. Never again permit them lay You, my Honour and Glory, into dust. Do not let the misdeeds of this body trap and deceive me, Your child. Rise up for Your sake, return on high, You, the Life that is within me. Judge me, o Lord, according to You, my Righteousness; according to Your Spirit, my Integrity. Let my defence be not myself nor my deeds; because I am no more, how can I proclaim anything as me or mine. I was dead; I am alive of Your Life that is given me. My Defence to lead a life of obedience and responsibility as a child of God is of the Spirit of God, which makes me upright in heart, upright of Jesus Christ. The Lord cannot behold evil, He is ever angry with the wicked, the sinful flesh, every single day. But He does not turn His back, He Himself has prepared the instruments of death for sin and flesh, to put deaths themselves to death-- just as He alone has given me Life and Righteousness when I was dead in sin. Because of His Love. Praise the Lord according to His Love and Righteousness, the Life of Jesus Christ.

FATHER, call me

Could I forsake this unbearable life. I shall sigh and weep no more. I shall carve my life unreservedly. I shall write lines in free prose, generously. Why? Be uninhibited by the restraints and burdens of faith! The demands to always do the right thing, and never been given the right to be wrong. I desire pleasure. I abhor the debate of what is deemed fit, and not. Loathe and to forget the tautness of right and wrong. What little men have deemed right, and dedicated to the divine. I have never been fitting in this prison. I have never been suiting. In this garden I have not borned with fruit. I persisted with only thorns. The wild years without Christianity have been lost and wasted. Losing and wasting more years, again, would I mind a bit, would it matter at all. To close my eyes to the truth and untangle myself from the bind in my chaotic heart. I could not. It is not me who chooses to be a Christian. Rant and rave in rebellion. My wildness grows and it distorts. Hear YOU call me, child. Could I again, FATHER?

The search for pleasure has been there for as long as there have been animals (including humans). it is the breeding ground of many mischief, e.g. drugs, drink, etc. However if one seeks life, my answer cannot be other than to seek truth which is truly truth, something that is alive. not some dry or dead knowledge, bandied around and debated most by those who have not seen it in its vitality, nor experienced the life.

why do we have to make pleasure versus truth ar? Can't it be pleasure in the truth...and then pleasure going fwd in parallel with the truth?

In truth is true pleasure. Outside truth it's false pleasure, empty and destroying.

The glory of the children of GOD

For the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight. Through their victories YOU give, their glory is great. How long, O LORD, must we wait till YOU restore the glory of YOUR children? YOU are the KING of Glory.

Save me, O LORD

In all my thoughts and the corners of my heart there is not a room for HIM. In my wickedness and willfulness I do not seek His ways. In the selfish yearnings of my heart, I approve its greediness and ridicule HIS laws. I do not remember HIM when I talk about HIM. I do not mind HIM when I talk to HIM. In what I do, I do not care that HE is around and that HE sees. I am happy in my own disillusionment. My own self is apt to be my master.

Save me, O LORD. Save me, from myself. Save me, from my flesh, from its pride and self-affection. Save me, for they lead me to death. Save me, for I am dying. No one remembers life when she is dying. No one gives praise for life when she is going into the grave. Do it, O LORD. Only YOU can save me. Lift me up from the gates of death. Show me light of life that I would not sleep into the dimness of death. Save me.

"As for you, O LORD, you will not restrain your mercy from me; your steadfast love and your faithfulness will ever preserve me! For evils have encompassed me beyond number; my iniquities have overtaken me, and I cannot see; they are more than the hairs of my head; my heart fails me" (Ps. 40).

"... a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise" (Ps. 51).
