BEING HUMAN

It is only shallow people who say they do not judge by appearance. This world is tangible and visible world, we are humans and too 'humanly stigmatized' in seeing. Of course we dream of transparency, and transparency is most liberating. To experience the luminousness of someone, of people being what they are; that is the greatness. But deceit is what we practice every day, even to ourselves. Are always enclosed in this terrible varnish and carapace of false familiarity with self and world, which is not only hard to break through, but will be always there. These burdens of pride. And pretence. And artificiality. Cease imagining that one can be truthful, but realize that all of us are hypocritical fakes. Only when one has done this realization that perhaps it is possible to move into a more genuine affinity with mankind. There are burdens we must carry together.

it used to be that what's inside is more important, but these times are image-driven indeed. so much so that what's inside is sacrificed to hone outside appearance to pitch-perfection.

and indeed those who would be against the tides of the age will sustain some sort of inconvenience, or even injury.

but let it suffice now as before for us to know that God does not condone hypocrisy. and that God, then as now and always, is perfectly capable of miracles to wreak havoc on the ordered course of nature. even if that slice of nature is called the self of a weak human being =).

Thank you for the reminder, anonymous =)
Yes, while humankind shares brotherhood and are companions in misery, the ones in Christ are bonded in mercy and blessedness and hope =)
