Blessedness is more than happiness

The Beautitudes: Blessed are.. for they will.. Matt 5

Blessed is the man.. whose delight is the law of the Lord, and in His law doth he meditate day and night. Psalm 1:1,2

Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near. Rev 1:3

This blessedness God promises is more than happiness, a statement that has nothing whatever to do with my personal opinions or emotions. A happiness where I am not talking about myself at all, where the only thing I am saying about myself is that I submit to the law, where it is where I stand, where that is the only Reality, because it truly is. It is far past finding my thoughts in directions, far past the trivialities of how I feel, delivered from a vague preoccupation of myself and my own concerns, and to be turned to His word. It is where I bind myself to the promises, where now is the happiness and every step of the journey matters and is gladness in itself, because the reason to endure being the promise itself. If I do believe in these promises, what little things will not be taken care of? because what is not little by comparison?

"Every step leads you closer to home." A.K.
